Together, we ensure every member is supported, inspired, and empowered to create meaningful change—shining a light on stories that build a more inclusive and equitable world for all.

PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER Jomil Luna

JOMIL LUNA, MPH 🎥 TV Host | Actor | Public Health Professional | Advocate / Non Profit Business Owner  Jomil Luna is the charismatic creator and host of _ The Community Spotlight_on BronxNet TV, a dynamic show that celebrates local leaders, artists, and advocates who inspire change across New York City and beyond. Known for his authentic storytelling and deep connection to the community, Jomil brings heart and purpose to every interview—bridging entertainment, empowerment, and education.


A proud public health professional with a Master of Public Health from Rutgers University, Jomil seamlessly blends his passion for media and advocacy to amplify underrepresented voices. He’s the Founder and President of _ The Community Spotlight Foundation_ and a long-standing organizer of major LGBTQ+ events, including the Bronx, Manhattan, and Jersey City LGBTQ Expos—bringing together thousands of guests and hundreds of partner organizations.


Jomil’s work and advocacy have earned him multiple honors, including the Schneps Media Manhattan Power List Award, the City & State NY Above & Beyond Innovators Award, and the Gay City News Impact Award.


With over 150,000 combined social media followers, Jomil continues to use his platforms to spread positivity, promote health equity, and uplift the stories that matter most.

Migdalia Pagan Milano - Executive Director

Migdalia Pagan Milano, currently serving as the Assistant Director at the Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs, has been a dynamic force in fostering arts and promoting cultural inclusivity. A native of Hoboken and married to her wife Lisa, Migdalia has pioneered numerous LGBTQ+ initiatives, including the city's first rainbow crosswalk and Hoboken's inaugural Pride week. Her efforts extend to her role as Chair of Community Outreach for Mayor Steven Fulop's LGBTQ Taskforce in Jersey City, where she advocates for the arts and LGBTQ+ community through impactful cultural programming. Migdalia also manages the Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust Fund, directing substantial financial support to artists and organizations that enrich the cultural fabric of the community. Her dedication to arts and activism has earned her widespread admiration and several accolades, reflecting her commitment to making culture accessible and representative of all community members.

Ms. Vanessa Moreno - Secretary

Ms. Vanessa Moreno was born and raised in Jersey City. Prior to becoming a vocalist, she spent ten years as a violinist, honing her skills as a member of the Manhattan School of Music’s Preparatory Division. Ms. Moreno continues to pursue her artistic passions through salsa dancing and as an avid concertgoer of various jazz and classical music performances.


Ms. Moreno earned her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Rutgers, Mason Gross School of the Arts. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University. With thirteen years of experience in the classroom as a Choral Director, she has also contributed as the Vocal Director for the Spring Musicals and written classroom curriculum.


Currently, Ms. Moreno continues to serve the community as an Assistant Principal. She is committed to collaborating with faculty, staff, students, and parents to ensure that all students receive an equitable education and become valued members of society.

Connie Pacheco - Secretary

Connie Pacheco is a Latina, born in Puerto Rico and reared in the heart of the South Bronx. Connie came into the field of substance use disorder in 1987 shortly after successfully completing a 3-year rigorous residential treatment episode. She's a 3-time Impact Awards receiver. 


She became a Certified and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in the State of New York in 1994 and is a recognized Internationally Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. Connie holds a Bachelors of Science with a concentration in Human Services from Empire State College and has a License Masters Degree in Social Work with a Concentration in Community Development from Yeshiva University. 


She obtained a Family development Leadership Credential in 2010 through Cornell University. Connie is a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach and Peer Advocate. She is an approved OASAS instructor for the Recovery Coach Training. 


Connie taught CASAC classes for over 15 years under an approved OASAS provider. She is a certified Women Safety Instructor under Englewood Tiger Schulman’s Mixed Martial Arts School for the past 19 years. She is a 4th grade certified catechist in her neighborhood parish.


Connie worked in some of the most prestigious programs in NYC in the capacity of Program Director. She brings a multitude of experience, creativity, and commitment. Throughout her tenure in the field, Connie Pacheco has developed a specialization in servicing diverse populations including chemically dependent adults and adolescents, families’ co involved with the Child Welfare system and victims of Domestic Violence. 


Connie launched Recoveries R US, LLC in 2013 as a means to provide services to individuals pursuing a career in counseling for Substance Use Disorders; this includes professionals seeking to enhance their academic portfolios. In addition, Recoveries R US provides an array of services that include the 350 Standardize OASAS Curriculum for the provision of the CASAC T, Peer to Peer Training Academy, Recovery Coaching, Peer Advocate, SBIRT, MATS/MARS, Women’s Safety, Wellness , Anger Management, Professional Development, and Coaching services. Connie has dedicated her life to the field of recovery and hopes to carry the message of _CHANGE _through education and mentoring programs.

Christina Polidura – Treasurer

Christina Polidura is an accomplished professional with over 17 years of experience in the information technology and services industry. Currently serving as a Partner Strategist – Networking at SHI International Corp, Christina has built a distinguished career defined by her expertise in management, customer service, account management, sales, business development, and marketing.


Throughout her tenure at SHI, she has played a pivotal role in driving growth and strengthening partnerships, consistently delivering innovative networking solutions that empower organizations to thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape. From her early years as a Networking Partner Specialist to her leadership as Networking Business Development Manager, Christina has demonstrated a deep commitment to collaboration, strategy, and client success.


A proud alumna of Rutgers University, Christina earned her degree in Communication and Women’s and Gender Studies, a foundation that continues to shape her inclusive approach to leadership and relationship building within the tech industry.
