About The Community Spotlight Foundation
Our Story
The Community Spotlight Foundation was born out of a need for connection during one of the most challenging times in recent history. In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, _The Community Spotlight Project_ emerged as a virtual platform where people could come together, share their stories, and uplift one another through conversation and creativity.
What began as an online project to inspire hope and unity quickly evolved into a powerful media initiative highlighting changemakers, artists, and community leaders making a difference.
By 2024, that vision grew into _The Community Spotlight Foundation_ — a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through storytelling, media, and social impact.
Today, we continue to shine a light on untold stories, celebrate diversity, and create spaces where voices from all walks of life can be seen, heard, and celebrated across TV, social media, and beyond.

The Community Spotlight Foundation is based in the New York and New Jersey Tri-State area, serving vulnerable and often overlooked communities — including LGBTQ+ individuals, communities of color, and those whose voices have gone unheard.
Our foundation was created with a simple yet powerful purpose: to uplift, empower, and illuminate the stories of people who make a difference in their communities every day.
Founded by a leader who personally understands what it means to face adversity and feel unseen, The Community Spotlight Foundation was born from a deep commitment to creating opportunity, visibility, and hope.
